The Web site of IGLC-11 has been opened, here. Among other things, the site contains information on paper submission and white papers on conference themes.

The European Chapter has started its activities. Also the Human Issues theme group is being activated. There is new material on both group's Web pages.

The Bibliography page has been renovated.  We have added bibliographies on lean construction papers in refereed journals as well as in non-IGLC conferences.

What's new 2002?
The 10th IGLC conference was organized in August 2002 in Gramado, near Porto Alegro, Brazil.

Altogether 55 papers had been accepted for presentation. The number of participants rose to 120.

The 11th conference will be organized in Blacksburg, Virginia - further information from Julio Martinez. The date is July 22-25, 2003 (note that the following week was selected in the business meeting, but the intended conference facility was not available for that week). Champions for the main themes of the upcoming conference were selected. More details in the notes of the business meeting.

The "Proceedings" page has been updated. Some proceedings are in short supply, so please hurry up if you want to have bound copies of IGLC papers!

What's new 2001?
The conference of 2001 was held in Singapore. The papers are available for downloading here. You can also find the Minutes of the business meeting, compiled by Greg Howell. It was decided that the tenth IGLC conference will be organized by Prof. Carlos Formoso. The conference venue, to be announced later, will be in the south of Brazil, near Porto Alegre.

It was was also decided on a new system for stimulating papers for the conference. The plan is to identify focus areas with passionate and involved leaders who will work to prepare a report on the issue in time for the IGLC meeting in Brazil. These leaders will enlist others in the investigation, encourage the preparation of papers and organize an IGLC session devoted to the subject. A list of leaders, as identified in the Business Meeting, is in the Minutes. New volunteer leaders may take contact to Glenn Ballard.

What's new 2000?
The papers presented in this year's conference in Brighton are available for browsing and downloading here. The Minutes of the Business Meeting of IGLC, held in conjunction with the conference, outline several new activities for the Group, like the establishment of two new theme groups and the first regional Chapter. The conference of the next year will be held in Singapore.

The theme groups of IGLC have recently been activated. The theme group for design management has recently launched its own interesting Web pages, and also other groups - production management, supply chain management and human issues - have their pages under construction. The theme groups for implementation and house building are brand new. Also the European Chapter of IGLC will present its activities soon. Please, check these developments and join the group the work of which interests you!

Since our meeting in Berkeley, not less than four academic dissertations by active members of IGLC have been submitted. Here you can take a closer look at this work.
