Background
In 2003 the European ROADCON project defined the baseline ICT vision and roadmap for construction. This was targeted to the 6^th European Framework programme, especially the Information Society Technology program.
In 2004 the European Construction Technology Platform ECTP was established to define the "Vision 2030" and the "Strategic Research Agenda" for the construction sector. The target is the 7^th European Framework programme .
In October 2005 the Focus Area 7 "Processes and ICT" was astablished within the ECT.

Objectives and key results
Updated and refined vision and roadmap for ICT in building construction.
Suggestions and guidelines for the implementation of strategic research, development and take-up actions.
Validation of the proposed strategy by the research and industry community.
Contributions to the Vision 2030 and the Strategic Research Agenda of the European Construction Technology Platform, Focus Area Processes and ICT.
