Project summary:

The project was a feasibility study for Vera programme preparation covering the building material and component industries. 

Achieved results in the project:
The questionnaire for building material and component industry was answered by 27 companies, the response was 33%. 

The expected results for technology programme were: 

• information for production and deliveries should come in digital format from contractors, designers and engineers, for example via Internet 
• manufacturers product information could be available in open databanks in Internet. The format should be directly usable in software for contractors, designers, engineers and building owners EDI should be used in procurement 

Benefits of information networking would be: 

• more effective processes and decreasing of errors if the information would be usable directly in digital format without manual input 
• global visibilty of manufacturers and products in Internet
